Why did you join KN?

My time in WoW unofficially began in the Open Beta phase back in November of 2004. I consider it one of my better personal birthday presents. My character in the open beta, the wonderful, green Orc Warrior Neksol, was one of the highest leveled characters on the server of the beta. It hooked me from the start. Upon release, I re-created Neksol on the fledgeling, low-population server Malorne. I slowly but surely battled my way to 60 before finding my first guild - Blacklisted. With the release of Molten Core, Blacklisted was absorbed by BAMF, and I entered my first raid. As Tank #7 on the roster. Raiding enthralled me then, and still holds the same captivation. BAMF continued raiding through Black Temple before succumbing to a whirlwind of drama involving inter-marital affairs of guild members. At that point I was an officer, but left the guild (and the server) as the people I'd come to know rather well had become something else entirely at that point. I transferred to Hakkar with some people I had known in BAMF (It was a server they had other characters on), but remained there only temporarily, as I stumbled upon the KN recruitment post on the official forums. I debated the move for a while, as I knew no one would come with me, but at the time it felt like the right thing to do. KN held a solid record of progress without overexertion, and appeared to have its head in the right place on the social front, so I bit the bullet and jumped servers once more, to the first non-low population server I'd ever been on. I've not looked back since - it was the best decision I've made in regards to this game. Having now spent years with these people (Frightening, isn't it?), I can't see much of a future in the game without them. Plus, our first KN Camp provided a pretty awesome venue to actually meet the people behind the screen - thanks for that, Ceeko!

What do you enjoy doing most in-game?

Raiding, first and foremost - and the bigger the raid the better. I love the feeling of grandness construed by it. Outside of Raiding, my game desires cycle often. I'll go through bouts of alt leveling binges, which have led to 7 85s (Hunter, Shaman, and Druid slowly approaching); achievement hunting with Neksol, who has remained my main since the Open Beta; and alt gearing, where for some reason I decide to sink a load of time trying to boost some of those 85s.

What do you do outside of WoW?

I'm employed at an Energy and Utilities Consulting firm, currently deployed on a project with BP ANZ, and have been back and forth to Australia twice on assignment, with one more in the works. For entertainment purposes, I'm a MOBA addict (Games like DotA, League of Legends, and Heroes of Newerth), a movie nut, and an avid reader. I'm also a writer, with my first novel "completed" pending editing by outside sources. I've just started working to learn the ins and outs of Photoshop, and I intend on getting my hands on a Cello, as I think they're just amazing instruments. And, of course, I spend most of my free time hanging out with my wife and 20 month old son, who is totally and completely awesome.
